Summary |
0000597: Unnamed clocking blocks in BNF |
|
Description |
The BNF for a clocking block allows the name of a clocking block to be optional. It is unclear how one would reference inputs and outputs defined within the clocking block if it is not named as all references too it are through the BNF production of hierarchical_identifier.
This may just be an issue with the BNF, where this combination is allowed by the grammar (to keep it simple) but is disallowed by some other rule. If this other rule already appears somewhere, then this is not a problem. Otherwise it needs to be added, or the BNF changed.
